Calendar Integration
Connect Google Calendar or Apple Calendar / iCloud so Flow Chat can check availability and book appointments from the chat widget.
Providers
Flow Chat supports two calendar providers:
- Google Calendar — connect with OAuth
- Apple Calendar / iCloud — connect with CalDAV using an app-specific password (not your normal Apple ID password)
Each widget connects to one calendar provider at a time. Disconnect the current provider before connecting the other.
Setting up — Google Calendar
- Open your widget settings
- Open the Calendar tab
- Choose Connect Calendar (or the connection step if you are not connected yet)
- Select Google Calendar
- Authorise Flow Chat in the Google OAuth flow
- Select which calendar to use for bookings
- Configure working hours and buffers as needed, then enable calendar booking
Setting up — Apple Calendar / iCloud
- Open your widget settings
- Open the Calendar tab
- Choose Connect Calendar
- Select Apple Calendar
- Enter your Apple ID email and an app-specific password — create an app-specific password in your Apple ID account (do not use your normal Apple ID password)
- Connect, then select which calendar to use for bookings
- Configure working hours and buffers as needed, then enable calendar booking
How it works
When a calendar is connected, the AI can:
- Check your availability
- Suggest available time slots
- Collect visitor information (name, email, phone)
- Create calendar events automatically
- Send confirmation emails for bookings
Booking flow
- Visitor asks to schedule a meeting
- AI presents available time slots
- Visitor selects a time
- AI collects their contact information
- Booking is created and synced to your calendar
- Both parties receive confirmation emails
Managing bookings
You can view all bookings in your dashboard:
- See upcoming appointments
- View booking details
- Cancel or reschedule if needed
- Track booking history
