Embedding the Widget

Add the Flow Chat widget to your website with a simple code snippet.

Basic Installation

Add this code snippet just before the closing </body> tag on your website:

<script src="https://getflow.chat/widget.js" data-widget-id="YOUR_API_KEY"></script>

Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your actual widget API key found in the widget settings.

Finding Your API Key

1. Go to your dashboard
2. Click on the widget you want to embed
3. Go to the "Install" tab
4. Copy the API key or the complete embed code

Custom Installation Options

You can customize the widget behavior with additional data attributes:

Platform-Specific Instructions

WordPress

1. Install a plugin that allows adding custom JavaScript (like "Insert Headers and Footers")
2. Add the embed code to the footer section
3. Save and the widget will appear on all pages

Shopify

1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Edit Code
2. Open theme.liquid
3. Paste the embed code before </body>
4. Save

Squarespace

1. Go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection
2. Add the embed code to the Footer section
3. Save

Wix

1. Go to Settings > Custom Code
2. Add a new custom code
3. Paste the embed code
4. Set it to load in the Body (end)
